HISTORY
With a stadium announcing history that dates back nearly 20 years, your event is in professional hands with Tim Stackpool. Briefly, across 2007/2008 Tim's announcing and MC services were first employed by National Rugby League teams the St George-Illawarra Dragons and the Parramatta Eels. Then in 2009, Tim acted as the stadium announcer for each of the NRL Parramatta Eels home games. He also worked as the announcer at the inaugural Victor Trumper Day staged at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Tim has also MC'd chairman game-day events for the Sydney Rabbitohs and NSW Waratahs.
Fans of the Sydney Swifts netball team were kept informed and entertained by Tim as far back as the 2005 season at both the Sydney Superdome and Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre. Tim also announced at the Trans-Tasman Sydney Olympic Park Netball Cup in 2008. When Jessica Watson returned from her solo sailing circumnavigation in 2010, Tim was retained as the event announcer at the Sydney Opera House, and he facilitated the subsequent international press conference. He also announced, and was the stadium MC, at the ATP Champions Down Under in 2010. In 2018, the National Premier League employed Tim Stackpool for the soccer Grand Final in Newcastle. In 2022 and 2023, Tim provides stadium announcing services to the West Harbour Pirates at Drummoyne and Concord Ovals during rugby Shute Shield matches.
